A few more will qualify at the next match and a few will get average points awarded as well.

The number of points will probably be lowered again at the AGM. It would be an interesting trials day if it wasn't though .........

Like your thinking but still think those that have been committed to the majority of games and have good stats should qualify as these are the kind of people we want in the squad. Also they deserve it!
Fudging is the future!!

If you play 40 frames and dont qualify you should be banned from retrialling, and instead be instantly decapitated. You'll be more useful a player without any eyes!Smile

Grin

You get 60 points just for turning up. I think you need 12/40 in the A's and 15/40 in the B's to get the points required.

I agree, if you play all 10 matches and don't get 120 points then going back to the trials is the least you deserve.

Lucky for them everybody that will have played 40 frames will get the required 120 points otherwise they'd have to hide from Shaggy or risk sever injury Angry

Mike Hope cant re-qualify. That's a tough draw on the trials day for someone.

How is he doing with England this year, likeley to be retained??

Presumably as he is representing the EPA, and has played the required 50% County matches, there is scope for the EPA to request/insist that he is included in the County Squad as required.

Do County policies overide the EPA in such an instance.

I'm pretty sure Surrey wont be turning him away, although the matches missed have not been for England duty as far as I know.

Me too, but I was just interested to know the pecking order in such issues.

Clearly one of the issues that has been spoken about is the lack of relaiability in the squad, and if the County opted for a new broom sweeps clean, and names were irrelevant, then Hopey would be a person that would be included in this.

Quite how Tom, Michael, and Jack before have played so much pool for so long is beyond me, and I marvel at their motivation to play Local League, Interleague and County, along with England/Tours/Comps etc.
